Maybe this shouldn't be part of my adventures. Longs Peak has been a part of my life for a "long" time! I moved to Estes Park in 1985 and since that time have seen many "faces" of Longs Peak! Now that we live in Longmont, my views of Longs are quite different, but stil beautiful!

Steve, Patti Kayne, and I hiked Brins Mesa in Sedona today! It was beautiful! The trail was muddy, because of the melting snow, but WOW! Red rocks, white snow, green trees, blue sky and pretty clouds! SO pretty! Yes, we love Colorado, but Arizona is right up there! We couldn't wear our shorts today, but by noon we were only wearing our T-shirts.

On Friday we hiked with good friends, Ken and Cherie. We hiked in Black Canyon, Mingus Mountain. We ALWAYS call our hikes with Ken and Cherie "ADVENTURES". We love hiking with them. Most of our hikes with them are "off-trail", so they make for pretty interesting experiences.

We had a gorgeous hike in West Clear Creek Canyon on Thursday. We hiked about ten miles round trip and only saw a few Forest Service workers at the trail head! We love these kind of hikes! Beautiful scenery in the wilderness and NO other people! We did have to cross the creek several times. The first crossing I wore my pink crocs, but we quickly gave up with the shoes and just waded barefoot! I was SO excited to see some of the trees starting to bud! Yes, and we were wearing shorts in February! Ahhhh!

Adele's Amazing Adventures!

After MANY years of keeping a journal (since 1982) and MANY years of taking TONS of pictures, I have decided to attempt to write a travel blog. Steve & I have been traveling in our Lazy Daze class C motorhome for about sixteen years. We first traveled with our four children in a pop-up trailer and then "graduated" to a full trailer. We travel mostly in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona.

As many of you know, we LOVE to hike and explore and recently we have added mountain biking and kayaking to our interests. I LOVE to take pictures. My family thinks I take too many pictures, but I guess it is a hobby that I am not planning to give up! If I am not taking pictures of our kids and granddaughter, I am usually carrying my camera around taking pictures of ANY scenery!

Since I have become a huge Picasa photo and Facebook fan, I have become more interested in connecting and re-connecting to many of my friends. (Friends from now and friends from my past). This year is my 40th high school reunion year! How could that ever have happened? I have really enjoyed becoming reacquainted with SO many of you!

Obviously, since this is a travel blog, I will mainly post when we are out and about traveling in all our favorite places!
