Back Home in Buena Vista, Colorado

Hi all,

Steve & I arrived home on Easter Sunday.  We loved our time in Arizona, but decided it was time to come home.  It took us a couple of days to unpack the trailer and the truck.  We had spent quite a few months in our 200 square foot Arctic Fox.  Although our Buena Vista home isn't large, we still felt like we came home to a "mansion".  We are very happy to be home.  It is very easy to stay socially distanced here.  We have seen a few of the neighbors, but only from a distance.  We take our daily walk and we have been trying to do yoga here at home.

Steve is working on a special project for granddaughter, Louisa.  He is building a Pikler Triangle for her.  Louisa's mom, Rachael, is a Montessori school teacher.  If you want to know more about the triangle, you can ask us more about it.  After he finishes this project, he is going to build a greenhouse that we can use to grow warm-weather crops.  We have discovered (after 3 Summers of gardening) that we need a longer/hotter growing season for tomatoes, peppers, beans, etc.  I am really excited!  I love that Steve loves to work on projects.  They keep him busy.  He is NEVER bored!  For those of you who never knew me in the '70s and early '80s, I feel like I have come full circle.  I lived in Durango, CO for ten years (before Steve) and we had ten acres. Yes, I was quite the hippie!  We had a HUGE garden, raised many animals, and were pretty self-sufficient.  I love gardening, growing flowers, feeding the birds.

Enough writing~  I will post some photos since we have come home.  We hope you are all well.  Stay home and stay healthy.

Just Photos - We are still in Arizona

I am trying to update my blog.  I am posting photos from my phone.

We are still in Arizona.  We have moved to Dead Horse Ranch State Park State Park in Cottonwood.  We are still spending lots of time together (just the two of us).  We hike or bike every day.  Today was cleaning day.  I vacuumed the trailer and washed 6 shirts in a bucket.  Pretty exciting.  I might just try posting photos and just let you see what we are seeing while social distancing.

We will continue to live in the Arctic Fox and stay in Arizona~for now~

Wow!  So much has happened in the world since my last blog post in February~

Steve & I came back to Arizona on February 14th.  We had planned to stay down here until March 31st.  We had reservations at many of our favorite campgrounds.  As you all know, we have been living this "lifestyle" for quite a few years.  We spend Spring and Summer in our home in Buena Vista and then spend a better part of the Fall and Winter in our Arctic Fox trailer.  This past Fall, we were at the Grand Canyon and in Apache Junction and Tucson, Arizona.

Little did we know, that our plans would all change.  (Like the rest of the world).  After many phone conversations with our kids and grandkids, who live in Colorado, we have decided to stay in Arizona for awhile longer.  We are VERY self-contained in the trailer, we can spend lots of time outside, practicing social and physical distancing.  This new plan works IF Arizona continues to keep their State Park campgrounds open.  Right now we are at Catalina State Park in Tucson and we plan to move to Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood on Saturday.  We haven't really been telling people where we are headed next, because sometimes the best-made plans seem to change.

I know many of you who read this blog see ALL the photos that I post to Facebook.  And, YES, I post ALOT!  Some of you are not Facebook people, so I like to post some photos to the blog.  So, I will share a few.

Please know that we think of ALL of you every day and hope that you all are staying safe and healthy.  I know this social/physical distancing is hard for us all. Please feel free to call or text or email us.  We do have more time to talk these days.  We are very thankful that we have new ways of staying in touch with our kids and grandkids.  We are loving Zoom time and using Marco Polo to share videos with them.

Be well and I hope that the next time I update my blog, life will be a little bit more "back to normal".

If you are still reading this and want to see more photos, I will have to share them some other way.  The BIG joke with Steve and me is that I take hundreds of pictures every day!

Love to you ALL!  Adele and Steve
